"Explorer" should not enter the picture when uninstalling an application. If you don't keep the files deleted, eventually your computer will become very sluggish - that's how we discovered the problem in the first place. I think WCESCOMM.LOG has to do with ActiveSynch for my Treo, but I can't understand why it is doing this and I haven't noticed it before. I know now that it's nothing to worry about. I do not know where that is since I uninstalled the application without looking for its install location but I would assume it is somewhere under C:/Program Files/HP . Some files with .tmp extension keep on writing to "temp" folder.
