Till yesterday that I've found this page and articles, I've tried several things but couldn't fix it. Solution3 (and some tricks of solution4) did the thing! Were there 8086 coprocessors other than the 8087? There is not much point in seeing how much RAM one can not use.
- For a month or so sometimes after the startup svchost.exe is eating up the CPU resources. Today (using Process Explorer) I finally found the exact culprit that was eating about 13%
- Just had to rename de folder.
- I'm going to mention both here in case one does not work for you.
- Even after reinstalling windows 7 twice, it still was running at 80-90% usage on idle.
- As you can see, the Windows Driver Foundation service is actually called wudfsvc for short!
- Right-click on My Computer, choose Manage.
