I noticed a few comments above that suggest some others might be finding the solutions here are temporary rather than permanent as well. I can right click the "start button" and get a number of the selections from the start menu, but there is no graphical start menu. I don't see any icons in Windows Explorer, only text/filenames. 3. Required Applications Are Not Installed Correctly However it did give me back a Start Menu.
Instead, I started command prompt (admin)… Typed in Powershell, which allowed me to run Powershell in the admin mode.
